COVID-19 response
Employees
: As of Tuesday, March 31st, Sephora has laid off over 3,000 part time and seasonal employees via conference call, and provided them with severance pay and information about services that can provide assistance. They have pledged to continue to pay their remaining (over 9,000) US employees their full pay (based on average hours worked) and benefits through the late May or when they can safely reopen their stores (whichever is first). In comparison, their Canadian employees instead have not seen any layoffs, but are receiving only 80% of their normal pay.[1]
